Containers World Africa, Ruiru, Kenya
From the fish farm, we proceeded to Container World Africa, where the owner, Calvin, showed us his operation.
Similar to Container Solutions, there were stacks of containers and a shop with fabricators modifying the containers to customer specifications. Projects included building out the interior of a 40-foot container with doors, windows, partitions, and insulation. Another container was being fitted for multiple multi-stall toilets, and still another—a 20-foot office—was being outfitted with a bathroom, shower, and kitchen. It was fascinating to see how the work was done and compare it to how we would do it in California.
I asked Calvin to quote two 20-foot used containers, each with two 3x3 windows and a 36-inch personal door, to be delivered to Toolkit. We enjoyed our visit and hope to be able to work with Container World Africa in the future.
