Our next meeting was with Mr. David Osamba of Nyabon Enterprises in Nairobi. His company is focused on optimizing the business of small farming.
Mr. Osama worked for Unilever for 25 years. in a number of locations in the world, and again, his desire was to return to Kenya and develop an impactful venture with lasting and broad benefit.
Nyabon uses weather modeling to assist small farmers in planting the right crops at the right time. Additionally, they consolidate the crops from small farms and negotiate sales to food processors, they promote minimum to no tillage their typical partner has between one-half and five acres currently, they have approximately 8,000 small farms with growing so much gum and 10,000 small farms growing rice or millet.
It was exciting to see what he's doing and think about ways of expanding and sharing this opportunity with other small farms.

Thanks to Mr. Sam Owen, we were introduced to Andrew Ongoka. Andrew is a Kenyan national who is married to a U.S. medical doctor.
We met with Nelson Mookie, Manager of Capital Projects for Care International Hospital.
We enjoyed a dinner with our friend Nicholas Selby! Since we met a year earlier, Nicholas has only increased his involvement in supporting solar initiatives across rural Africa.
We met with Peter Fry the executive director for Kua Ventures.
The Bucket Ministry provides a bucket and a water filter so that people who do not have access to clean water will and in the process of distributing and educating recipients they also share the gospel.

From the fish farm, we proceeded to Container World Africa, where the owner, Calvin, showed us his operation.
Next, we visited the 93C fish farm operated by Father’s House in Ruiru, Kenya.
Their primary purpose is to train and develop skills for young people in Kenya.
This venture was started in 2017 by XXX. They have created an off-the-grid irrigation system that incorporates a solar-powered water pump, which feeds an elevated storage tank.
